GICS AAD 2014 Show Debrief

GICS had both the pleasure and privilege to exhibit at the 2014 Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) Show from 17 to 21 September 2014 at Waterkloof Air Force Base, Centurion, Pretoria, Gauteng.

After a long drive from Cape Town and freight arriving late and in some cases not at all and 2 manic days setting up, the GICS Stand was finally ready when the show opened on Wednesday 17/09/2014.

All 5 days were very busy, with the 2 public days being particularly busy as a result of the air show.

Despite some rain on the weekend the show was a great success, with many visitors enjoying what the various exhibitors had to offer.

GICS was proud to be there representing various brands, including Tru-Spec Uniforms and Apparel, Condor Tactical Nylon Products including Bags, Vests and other Modular Accessories, G-Code Holsters and Accessories, 3M Peltor™ Military and Police, Hunting and Shooting Communications, Protective Eyewear and Protective Headgear Products, Magpul Accessories, Mechanix Wear Gloves, Tac Shield Cleaning Kits, Paracord and Bipods, Phazzer Conductive Energy Weapons, WE Airsoft training equipment and many more.

We would like to thank all our customers and friends who visited us at the show and as well as all the new people that we met. We look forward to dealing with you in future.

Please do not hesitate to contact us on 021 555 3858 or sales@gicombatsupplies.co.za with any questions or queries.

We apologise for the poor quality photos as we were swamped and never got a chance to take proper photographs during the show.

Kuils River Sector 3 Safety and Security Day

GICS was fortunate enough to be invited to and attend the Kuils River Sub Forum - Sector 3 Safety and Security Day held at IPIC Soneike Shopping Centre on 05/05/2012.

The aim of the day was to create awareness for the fight against crime and showcase those parties who play a vital role in the safety and security of our communities.

Various role players attended the event including, but not limited, to various SAPS and Law Enforcement units, security and EMS companies as well as community organisations such as the Pink Ladies, an Organisation that works very hard to prevent and find missing children. (http://www.pinkladies.org.za)

From a GICS perspective, it was great to speak to members of the public and educate them about the self defence options that are available on the market.

All in all, it was a great day and we thank the organisers for inviting us to the event and look forward to the next one.
