GI Combat Supplies had the honour and privilege to be invited to and participate in the SA Army, Infantry Doctrine Committee (IDC) meeting that took place at Fort Ikapa in Cape Town last week.
We presented various new products and ideas to select members of the Infantry Research and Development (IRAD) Council and related projects including Project WARRIOR, CSIR-DPSS, MRS and CJ OPS at a mini expo on Wednesday 7th November 2012.
There is no substitute for being able to physically touch, feel and handle gear and equipment and we hope that we were able to provide positive ideas and concepts moving forward.
We were priveleged to also be invited to attend the closing function on Thursday evening where the week long event was closed off with speeches and a good old South African dinner.
GICS would like to thank the SA Army Infantry Formation, Chief Director Force Preperation, Brigadier General M. De Goede and his staff for the invitation and royal treatment that we received this week as well as the open way in which new ideas, concepts and suggestions were viewed and discussed.
We feel very proud to be able to play a small part in the research and development of the SA Army.
